Operation Dust Devil Educates Citizens on Off Highway Vehicle Safety

Operation Dust Devil is a taskforce led by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office was created to assist with off-highway vehicle safety enforcement. During the firrst week of the Operation Deputies issued 21 Vehicle Violations, Code Citations, and 4 arrests and had 3 vehicles towed.

Operation Dust Devil will have Sheriff’s Deputies were patrolling the areas of Hesperia Lakes, Deep Creek, Summit Valley, Santa Ana River, Cajon Wash, Yucca Valley, 29 Palms, Big Bear, and Pioneer Town.

Operation Dust Devil will take place over the next several months. During these patrols the Deputies in addition to writing citations will also spend time in the communities talking with residents about legal riding areas and safe riding practices. They hope to educate as many people about how to enjoy these activities safely and legally.
