On November 25th, Merced County Sheriff’s Deputy Mondragon was on patrol when he noticed a vehicle with numerous violations.

He then pulled the vehicle over and began a routine traffic stop. During the investigation the driver, identified as Jalen Deshawn Bosworth, was determined to not have a license.

Deputy Mondragon searched the vehicle and discovered that one of the passengers, identified as Angel Romero Gonzalez, had outstanding felony warrants from a different county. A firearm was located concealed on an underage passenger in the vehicle. Another firearm was located in the trunk of the vehicle.

The minor child that was in the vehicle was picked up by a licensed driver and another driver took the car home.

Bosworth was also found to have outstanding warrants from another county.

Both Bosworth and Gonzalez were booked for the outstanding warrants as well as weapons charges. Bosworth received a citation for operating a vehicle without a license.
