“In August of 2022, RPD NPU officers initiated an investigation into the trafficking of large amounts of narcotics within the Redding area. On September 29th, 2022, RPD NPU officers conducted a search warrant service of a silver Toyota Corolla suspected of delivering narcotics to various locations within Redding. Tina Johnson (48 years of Redding) was contacted during a traffic stop near the intersection of Churn Creek Road and Hartnell Avenue, and a subsequent search of Johnson’s vehicle revealed narcotics paraphernalia.

A search warrant service was then conducted at Johnson’s residence within the 1100 block of Echo Road. During the service, NPU officers located approximately 6 ounces of methamphetamine, 1 ounce of fentanyl (powder form), numerous M-30 fentanyl pressed pills and various items commonly associated with narcotics sales.

Johnson was booked into the Shasta County Jail for Possession of Narcotics for Sales, Possession of Narcotics Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sales. Additional enhancement charges will be sought against Johnson for distributing narcotics near school grounds.”
