BRENTWOOD —A man and woman were arrested in connection with robberies at a Bank of America parking lot. Officers also recovered two firearms and other evidence linking the suspects to two separate robberies of bank customers this month.
Both robberies took place outside the bank at 6261 Lone Tree Way in Brentwood. On September 19 shortly before 3:30 p.m., a woman and her daughter were approached by one of the suspects. There was a brief struggle, which ended after the suspect stole the woman’s purse and her wallet.
The woman sustained minor injuries, but her daughter was not physically harmed. The suspect got into a waiting car, and the driver sped away from the scene. The getaway car was reportedly a black four-door sedan that turned eastbound on Lone Tree Way.
The suspects fled with an unspecified amount of cash withdrawn from the woman’s account, along with her cell phone. Though her phone was found shortly afterwards near the scene of the crime.
During the investigation, surveillance camera video was reviewed, which shows one of the suspects inside the bank, apparently scoping out customer transactions. Other surveillance video implicates the same suspects committed the first parking lot robbery three days earlier.
With help from Antioch and Concord police, investigators determined the identities of the two suspects from Antioch. On September 20, Brentwood officers arrested Delvon Hasan, 20, and Dioni T. Patton who is 18 years old.
The case is being reviewed by the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office to consider charges. Patton was booked on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy to a commit crime. She is being held in custody at the West County Detention Facility in lieu of $200,000 bond. However, Hasan is no longer in custody.
