A Santa Clara County man was recently arrested on suspicion of repeatedly sexually assaulting a teenage girl he met on social media.

51-year-old Kevin Matthew Cable of Milpitas, a registered sex offender, reportedly faces ten charges of oral copulation with a minor in connection to several alleged incidents of unlawful sexual activity.

Cable met the victim through social media, and allegedly gave her alcohol and sexually assaulted her in his vehicle on several occasions, the Sheriff’s Office said.

After securing a warrant, investigators arrested Cable at his workplace in Palo Alto on August 10. During an interview, Cable admitted to the crimes involving the 15-year-old and also to engaging in sexual activity with other minors, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Cable remains in custody at the Santa Clara County main jail. The investigation is ongoing.
