Victorville man accused of murdering his 69-year-old mother

“San Bernardino homicide detectives have arrested a Victorville man for the murder of his 69-year-old mother, Yvonne Martin.

“Martin was a protected person in a restraining order against her son,” 34-year-old Anthony Falcon, according to San Bernardino sheriff’s deputies. Martin’s husband contacted police at 4:30 AM on July 20th, after he arrived home and could not find his wife anywhere.

Officers responded to the Phelan residence, located in the 11400 block of Arrowhead Road, and also could not find the woman. When they learned of the restraining order against Falcon, homicide detectives took over the investigation and began searching for him.

Detectives located Falcon at a residence in the 4000 block of U.S. Highway 138 and went there to question him about his mother. He was arrested for murder at the conclusion of the interview. He was booked into High Desert Detention Center, where he is being held without bail.

Falcon’s vehicle, a silver 2004 Saturn Vue, was located the following day “in a remote desert area of Lancaster,” said police. “Extensive searches have been conducted by ground and air units, but Martin has not been located. This investigation is ongoing.”

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Homicide Detail at 909-890-4904 or report anonymously via the We-Tip Hotline.”
