A Chino Hills man is in custody after a woman accused him of kidnapping, imprisoning, torturing, and raping her for months in his home.

Only minutes before contacting the police, the woman escaped the home of 59-year-old Peter Anthony McGuire, whom she told officers had “held her against her will at his residence for several months,” according to the press release by Chino Hills police. “While being held against her will, McGuire tortured, physically assaulted, and raped the victim.”

Deputies found the woman at Alterra Park around 7:21 PM on Thursday, June 9th. “The victim had visible injuries consistent with the allegations made.” They went to McGuire’s residence on Cordovan Court to serve a search warrant. McGuire had fled before they arrived, but deputies were able to find evidence of his crimes.

He was located at a residence in Placentia within 48 hours. When police arrived at the residence the morning of June 11th to bring McGuire into custody, he barricaded himself inside. He finally surrendered to police at about 8:30 AM.

McGuire was arrested and booked at West Valley Detention Center “for kidnapping, torture, aggravated mayhem, rape, false imprisonment, and assault with a deadly weapon.”

Police are asking anyone with information about this case to contact the Chino Hills Police Station or leave an anonymous tip through the We-Tip Hotline.
