Man charged with murder, woman charged as accessory in fatal North Sunrise Avenue shooting

Roseville Police have announced the arrest of a suspect in connection to a recent fatal shooting off North Sunrise Avenue.

21-year-old Andrew Aguiar of Sacramento is reportedly facing charges of murder and assault with a deadly weapon in connection to a fatal shooting on the 100 block of North Sunrise Avenue in the very early morning hours of Monday, May 16.

He was located and arrested the following day. While exact details are unknown, police say the incident may have begun as an altercation and escalated from there.

A second individual, identified as 19-year-old Shirley Horton of Sacramento, has also been arrested and faces a charge of accessory to murder, police said.

Both have since been booked, though it is unclear whether they are eligible for bail.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
