A 23-year-old Los Angeles man has been arrested after allegedly attacking comedian Dave Chappelle on stage during a live performance, according to reports.

Isaiah Arias Lee, who reportedly raps under the name “NoName Trapper” and even has a song about the comedian, has been arrested on suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly rushing the stage and tackling Chappelle while armed with a knife on Tuesday evening, May 3rd.

The New York Post reports that the knife was first believed to be a gun, but turned out to be a replica gun with a blade attached.

Almost immediately, Lee was set upon and subdued by the comedian’s security team, resulting in Lee needing to be hospitalized with a severely broken arm.

The incident occurred during Chappelle’s set at the Hollywood Bowl. Chappelle was one of many comedians taking part in Netflix’s first ever comedy festival, “Netflix Is A Joke.” Chappelle has recorded multiple comedy specials with the streaming platform.

Following medical clearance, Lee remains in custody on $30,000 bail. His motive for the alleged attack is unclear.
