“MERCED- Officer Gaona arrested a 15 year old for possession of a loaded ghost gun after investigating a fight.
On Saturday, March 12th at 6:30 PM officers responded to the Grove Apartments for a fight involving a firearm.
The physical altercation broke up before officers arrived at the scene. Witnesses reported that a Hispanic male juvenile wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a black mask brandished a firearm.
Officer Gaona located a juvenile matching the description. Officer Gaona conducted a pat search and located a firearm concealed on his person. The firearm was a Glock-style, 9 mm ghost gun.
The juvenile was arrested for weapon related charges and booked into custody at the Iris Garrett Juvenile Justice Correctional Complex.
