Los Banos police have announced the arrests of multiple suspects and the confiscation of numerous weapons amid an investigation into a series of burglaries.

On November 29th, police served a search warrant at the 100 block of K Street, where they also arrested 29-year-old Jose Ignacio Tapia of Los Banos, in connection to several open investigations into recent commercial burglaries. These included a residential burglary on Colorado Avenue in April, a vehicle burglary on West Pacheco in July, two commercial burglaries on J Street and an attempted one on I Street on November 25, and a successful commercial burglary on I Street on the 27th.

Since his arrest, Tapia has also reportedly been charged in connection to another residential burglary on Arizona Avenue that was reported morning of November 30th. Detectives also soon arrested 40-year-old Jesus Manuel Rodriguez after developing suspicion of his involvement in the crimes, police said.

On November 30, police served a second search warrant on the 100 block of West I Street, where they reportedly confiscated nearly 40 firearms, four of which had been reported stolen, as well as an assault weapon, an illegal impact baton, and stolen property from the November 27th burglary, police said. Officers also arrested 51-year-old Fidel Navarete at the scene.

All three suspects have since been booked at the Los Banos PD jail on charges related to the investigation.
