RICHMOND — A woman jailed inside the West County Detention Facility faces four charges for a violent attack at a McDonald’s restaurant. The suspect accused another woman of cutting in front of her at the drive-through.

The attack happened at 2301 MacDonald Avenue on February 5 at 12:16 p.m. The victim’s young children were inside her vehicle and terrified as the violence unfolded.

Video recorded on a cell phone shows the suspect throwing stuff at the victim’s vehicle, and then ramming it. The suspect and victim both exited from their vehicles and the road rage escalated.

The suspect allegedly punched the victim several times. Next the suspect got back into her vehicle and drove straight at the victim. She was struck and landed atop the hood.

The suspect drove onto Nevin Avenue with the woman clinging on the hood. The victim was carried approximately 150 feet before being flung off the hood.

Although the suspect fled from the scene, video of the incident posted online generated leads for investigators. Rhyan E. Hodge, 29 of Bay Point, was identified as the suspect.

Hodge surrendered to Richmond officers on March 1. She was arrested on a Ramey Warrant without further incident. She remains behind county bars in lieu of $140,000 bond.

Four charges were filed against Hodge on March 3 –
 Assault with a deadly weapon by force causing possible bodily injury
 Assault with a deadly weapon not a firearm
 Hit and run causing death or injury
 Willful Cruelty to a child
