Contra Costa County Internet Crimes against Children Task Force Makes 6 Arrests

MARTINEZ — Authorities arrested six men during a recent sting operation conducted by the Contra Costa County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Four suspects have been charged, and cases involving two other suspects are pending.

The Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office and Danville Police Department organized the sting operation. Other local, state, and federal agencies provided support. In a prepared statement the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office said. “The purpose of the operation was to identify individuals with intent to meet minors and engage in sex acts.”

Brady A. Godsey-Lally, 27 of Brentwood, allegedly traveled to Danville, to meet a 13-year-old girl for sex on March 7. Godsey-Lally is charged with –

  • Contacting a minor for purpose of engaging in lewd/lascivious act
  • Distributing/exhibiting lewd matter to a minor
  • Meeting with a minor for lewd purposes
  • Attempted lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14

Mahmut Guzelsu, 27, of Oakland, arrived at a park in Danville, allegedly to meet a 13-year-old girl for sex on February 28. Guzelsu is charged with –

  • Contacting a minor for purpose of engaging in lewd/lascivious act
  • Meeting with a minor for lewd purposes
  • Attempted lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14

Alexander D. Hellmund, 59, of Concord, allegedly intended to take a 13-year-old boy from Danville home with him on February 29 for sex. Hellmund is charged with-

  • Contacting a minor for purpose of engaging in lewd/lascivious act
  • Meeting with a minor for lewd purposes
  • Attempted kidnapping for child molesting
  • Attempted lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14

Elmer D. Ramirez-Lucha, 45, of Bay Point, allegedly arranged to meet with a 13-year-old girl in Danville for sex on February 28. Ramirez-Lucha is charged with –

  • Contacting a minor for purpose of engaging in lewd/lascivious act
  • Meeting with a minor for lewd purpose of engaging in lewd/lascivious act
  • Attempted lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14
