“On Sunday, 2/13/22, SCPD officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop near Hwy 12 at Main Street on a white Mercedes with a taillight out. The vehicle fled onto southbound Main St at a high rate of speed. Due to the nature of the traffic stop, the vehicle was not pursued.

However, officers were already in the downtown area and witnessed the Mercedes make a right onto westbound Cordelia Rd. Officers checked the area and located the Mercedes parked in the 1100 block of Suisun St.

At that time, it was determined the Mercedes was reported stolen out of Sacramento. As officers began checking the area, the driver was located hiding in a front yard of a residence next to where the vehicle was located.

A search of the vehicle was conducted and a loaded firearm was found in the front driver seat area. Officers also located burglary tools in the trunk.

The driver was identified and determined to have a felony warrant for his arrest. The driver was later booked into county jail for his warrant and other charges.”
