Attorney Accused of Attempting to Smuggle Contraband into Solano County Jail

FAIRFIELD, CA  —  “In a coordinated effort by the Gang Intelligence Unit, Investigations Bureau, and Sheriff’s Enforcement Team, they recently conducted a successful operation resulting in the arrest of a local attorney for attempting to smuggle contraband into the Solano County Jail.

On June 20, 2025, following an extensive investigation, Sheriff’s Office personnel executed a targeted operation based on credible intelligence indicating illegal activity. The operation culminated in the apprehension of the attorney, 53-year-old Christopher Dobbins of Oakland, who was arrested and booked into the Solano County Jail. The contraband, which violates California Penal Code regulations, was intercepted before it could be distributed within the facility.

Sheriff Thomas A. Ferrara stated, ‘The Solano County Sheriff’s Office remains steadfast in our commitment to maintaining the safety and security of our facilities. This operation underscores our zero-tolerance policy for any attempts to undermine the integrity of our justice system. We commend the diligent work of our Gang Intelligence Unit, Investigations Bureau, and Sheriff’s Enforcement Team in swiftly addressing this serious breach.’
