A 21-year-old man posing as a 16-year-old on social media is being charged with 13 counts of lewd acts with a minor.

The suspect, Lexter Lance David of Upland, has allegedly sexually assaulted at least one underage girl several times, and detectives are seeking additional victims with whom David may have had contact.

Investigation showed that David posed as a 16-year-old boy on a social media platform, which he used to communicate with a 13-year-old girl.  According to the news release, “David met the victim at various locations in the City of Rancho Cucamonga and engaged in sexual acts with the victim.”

Detectives found evidence indicating that the acts actually took place and found David in the City of Upland on December 14th.  Following his interview at the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department, he was arrested and booked at West Valley Detention Center.

David was formally charged with 13 counts of lewd acts with a minor after the case was reviewed by the district attorney’s office on December 16th.

“During the investigation, evidence was obtained leading detectives to believe David may have used various social media platforms, lied about his true age, and met with other underage females to engage in sexual acts in the cities of Upland and Rancho Cucamonga,” according to the release.

His bail was subsequently set at $3,250,000 and the court date scheduled for December 17th.

Investigators are asking that anyone with information about this suspect and the case to contact the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department, Detective Bureau or the We-Tip Hotline.
