“On December 6, 2021 at approximately 8:10 am, Sutter County Dispatch received a 911 call from a resident who was duck hunting in the area of Striplin Road and Pleasant Grove Road, in Pleasant Grove.

The resident called to inform a white Ford F250 style pickup had parked near his vehicle and shortly after, his vehicle alarm was activated. The resident began walking towards his vehicle while he spoke with Sutter County Dispatch, relaying descriptors of the vehicle. Sutter County Dispatch quickly relayed the information to a Sutter County Deputy, who was patrolling the area.

Once the resident arrived at his vehicle, he noticed his passenger window had been broken and his wallet was stolen. During this time, a Sutter County Deputy spotted the alleged suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on the pickup.

The Deputy had contacted the driver of the pickup, Dylan Thomas Kunin (35 years old) and passenger Beverly June Cramblit (38 years old). Both subjects were detained, and Sutter County Detectives were called to assist with the search of the pickup. Although a search of the pickup did not reveal the stolen property, numerous burglary tools were located in the vehicle, along with drug paraphernalia.

Both Kunin and Cramblit were arrested and booked into the Sutter County Jail for Burglary, Conspiracy to Commit a Felon, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Kunin was out on bail for unrelated felonies out of Sacramento County and was also charged with committing a felony while out on bail.

Sheriff Barnes commended the reporting party for contacting the Sheriff’s Office and also for the quick work by the deputies to help resolve this crime.”
