A Portola man has been arrested by Plumas County investigators on suspicion of sexually abusing an underage boy, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office says it began investigating 54-year-old Lee Roe in late August after being alerted to possible evidence that Roe had been engaging in lewd acts with a minor, as well as producing child pornography.

On September 14, Plumas and Sierra County investigators search warrant at Roe’s home, reportedly confiscating several articles of evidence.

Roe was arrested without incident and booked on suspicion of production of child pornography, lewd or lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14, oral copulation of a minor under the age of 14, and felon in possession of a firearm.

He is being held on $500,000 bail.
