“On Sunday August 8, 2021, at 5:38 pm, three suspects committed a robbery of the Old Navy store in the Riverpark Shopping Center in Northeat Frseno.
After the suspects fled from the scene, a uniformed security officer followed the suspect vehicle.
On Abby Street and Pinedale Avenue one of the suspects, later identifeid as Richard Franco, shot at the trailing security officer, striking his patrol vehicle.
Detectives from the Street Violence Bureau Felony Assault Unit identifed the three suspects as 21-year-old Taylor Mcburney, 29-year-old Eloyd Maldonado and 26-year-old Richard Franco.
Franco and Mcburney were arrested shorty after the shooting.
On September 8, 2021, detectives located and arrested Maldonado in the area of Clinton and Blackstone Avenues.”
