Man arrested for stabbing murder in Tracy

Originally published as a Tracy Police Department Facebook post – 
“Jesus Arevalo, age 42 and resident of Mountain View was arrested and booked at the San Joaquin County Jail for a murder charge.
On August 27 at 8:25 p.m. the Tracy Police Department Communications Center received a call of a disturbance in the 1300 block of Holly Dr. As patrol units were en route, other calls came in from the same area, requesting police assistance for someone who was injured. Upon arrival, officers found a male who appeared to have been stabbed. Life-saving efforts were provided, however, the victim succumbed to his injuries.
As the investigation progressed, we received information that Modesto PD had detained the suspect in this homicide, while they were responding to a call for service. The suspect and victim were known to each other. The names of the involved parties and motive for the crime will not be released at this time due to an ongoing investigation.”
