“Twenty-year-old Gerardo Carrillo of Sacramento and nineteen-year-old Esteban Bravo Lopez of Woodland were arrested yesterday in regards to a shooting that occurred on July 11th at 1:17 a.m. The Gang Task Force, Yolo County Sheriff’s OfficeCHP – WoodlandCACorrections , Sacramento County Probation Department worked together to serve search warrants at Carrillo and Bravo Lopez’ residences. A stolen handgun and ammunition were located during the searches.

The original incident on July 11th was reported as a shooting involving multiple vehicles. Officers arrived and contacted the victims who reported being followed suspiciously by a beige BMW. The victims initially noticed the BMW in the area of East Main Street and Pioneer Avenue. One of the three occupants from the BMW shined a green laser into the victim’s vehicle.

Believing they were going to be shot at, the driver of the victim vehicle took an evasive turn onto Andrew Stevens Drive and collided with multiple parked vehicles, disabling his own. Occupants of the BMW drove by the victim’s vehicle and fired seven rounds at them. No one was struck. After the shooting, the BMW fled southbound on CR 102.
Carrillo was booked at Yolo County Jail on two counts of attempted murder. Bravo Lopez was booked at Yolo County Jail on two counts of attempted murder and weapons violations.”
