Kings County: Three arrested following traffic stop in Hanford

by the Kings County Sheriff’s Office:

“On Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at approximately 2030 hours, a Kings County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 2004 BMW near the intersection of Hanford Armona Road and Jones Street in Hanford. It was determined that two of the occupants were on active Kings County probation and subject to search by a peace officer.  

During a search of the car over a half pound of Methamphetamine was located. It was determined the Methamphetamine belonged to one of the passengers named Christian Velazquez who was subsequently placed into custody. 

As the investigation unfolded, smaller amounts of Methamphetamine and Cocaine were discovered on two additional passengers named Denavee Rodriguez and Orlando Delapaz. Both subjects were placed under arrest as well. 

Christian Velazquez was booked into the Kings County Jail for possession of a controlled substance for sale and transportation of a controlled substance. His bail was set at $140,000.00. 

Denavee Rodriguez and Orlando Delapaz were booked into the Kings County Jail for possession of a controlled substance. Their bail was set at $5,000.00 each and both were released with a citation.”
