A 31-year-old Lake County man with a felony warrant out of Texas for possession of child porn has been arrested on suspicion of unlawful sex with a minor, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Last week, a mother contacted Lake County deputies to report that her 15-year-old daughter had been sexually assaulted by a man she met through social media.

The victim reportedly told deputies that the man identified himself as Chase and claimed to be 21 years old, and that the two had had sex several times since they first met in February. The victim also told deputies that the man had provided her with drugs in exchange for sex on multiple occasions.

Investigators then set up a sting in which the victim contacted the suspect and arranged a meeting outside a public location in the Middletown area. There deputies met the suspect, whom they say identified himself by a false name and denied knowing the victim or planning to meet her.

Eventually, however, he admitted knowing her but claimed to have thought she was 18, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies soon identified the suspect as 31-year-old Trevor Noel Reynoso of Murrieta, and learned that he had a felony warrant out of Texas for possession of child pornography.

Reynoso was ultimately arrested and booked at the Lake County Jail on numerous charges including lewd acts on a child, unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, and his felony warrant. He remains in custody without bail.
