“On the above date and time, Petaluma Police Department officers responded to the Grocery Outlet for a robbery report.

The suspect, identified as Steven Jamieson, entered the store and proceeded to place multiple items into his backpack. He later exited the store without paying for those items.

An employee, who witnessed the theft, confronted Jamieson outside the business. An argument over the stolen items ensued leading to a struggle over the backpack. During the struggle, Jamieson punched the employee in the face where he then ran away.

Officers responded to the area and located Jamieson a short distance from the Grocery Outlet. When contacted by officers, Jamieson was found to be in possession of the stolen items and suspected fentanyl. Jamieson was arrested for robbery and possession of a controlled substance.

He was then booked at the Sonoma County Jail. Luckily, the involved employee was uninjured during the struggle.”
