“At around 10pm on Tuesday, April 13th, two young adults arrived to clean a business in Linden when they were approached in the parking lot by a man who pointed a gun at them. They were able to run away and secure themselves inside the business before calling 911.
The man left without further incident, but the victims were able to provide an excellent description of the suspect and his vehicle.
Responding Deputies located a vehicle matching the victim’s description, but the occupant was not the same person the victims had described.
Through the course of his investigation, AGNET (Agriculture Gang Narcotics Enforcement Team) Deputy Piombo was able to identify a suspect, and this past Tuesday, April 27th, 29-year-old Christopher Fields was located, arrested, and charged with multiple firearms violations, including being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm/ammunition, in addition to the brandishing.
When Mr. Fields was arrested, a stolen motorcycle, along with other unrelated stolen property, was located in his possession. This resulted in a new case against Mr. Fields, and additional charges being filed. Christopher was also found to have a warrant for his arrest relating to drug charges.
The motive behind the initial brandishing incident remains unknown.”
