Search Leads to Firearm Arrest

“On April 13, 2021 the Los Banos Police Department Gang Unit, with assistance from the Detective Unit, served a search warrant at an apartment in the 2100 Block of Gilbert Gonzalez Jr. Drive.
A vehicle related to the investigation was stopped by officers near Pacheco Boulevard and Ward Road. During a search of the vehicle, Officers located a concealed loaded handgun.
The vehicle’s occupants, 37-year-old Ricardo Esquivel and 23-year-old Sophia Torres, both of Los Banos, are prohibited from owning or possessing firearms and were placed under arrest. No additional illegal items were located in the vehicle or during the search at the apartment.
Esquivel and Torres, were booked into the Los Banos Police Department Jail for multiple felony firearm violations.
The Police Department kindly asks that everyone be responsible and respectful when leaving comments.”
