“On 3/27/2021 around 12:30 p.m., officers went to the shopping center at Pioneer Avenue and E. Gibson Rd. There was a man, Joshua Akers a 21-year-old resident of Fresno, causing problems at one of the businesses by yelling and refusing to leave.
Earlier in the day, the same male had been at the same location exposing himself.
As officers drove into the parking lot, Akers began to walk away. When approached, Akers ran from the officers. He tried to jump a fence into the backyard of a house but was unsuccessful then kept running.
Officers caught up to Akers on the front porch of a residence on Losoya Dr. When officers attempted to arrest Akers, he tried to push past them.
Akers was taken to the ground to prevent him from running away. Akers continued to kick, push and knee at the officer striking him.
Officers were able to arrest Akers and booked him at Yolo County Jail for indecent exposure, resisting arrest and battery on a police officer.”
