TEMECULA – A day of golden sunshine was punctuated with a felony sexual assault. Two women had been back-yard sunbathing, when an unannounced, naked man entered the yard.

On the afternoon of March 2nd, Deputies and Investigators responded to a Sexual Assault incident call on the 41000 block of Zinfandel Avenue at approximately 3:40 PM.

“An unidentified adult male took off his clothing, went into the back yard of the residence and sexually assaulted two adult females who were sunbathing,” said Sergeant Edmond Seltzer. “The male subject clothed himself, left the property on foot and the victims called 911.”

A scour of the neighborhood by the Investigators and Deputies resulted in the eventual location of the suspect, Jacob Paulsen. The two female victims identified their attacker.

As a result, an arrest for Felony Sexual Assault immediately took place. The suspect was transported to Cois M. Byrd Detention Center, on $500,000 Bail.

In addition, suspect Paulsen was found to be a person of interest in another ongoing investigation for sexual assault.
