Six armed robberies occurred in Fresno from February 2 through February 15.

The two suspects used the social media app Tinder as a vehicle for their crimes, luring victims and then robbing them at gunpoint.

One victim was pistol whipped but the other victims were not injured.

Two weeks of investigative work produced 21-year-old Eric Newsome and a 17-year-old juvenile as suspects.

The pair was taken into custody on February 15 and search warrants were executed at their residence.

Investigators then discovered “items of evidence related to the robberies.”

The suspects were charged with multiple robberies and other related charges.
