“On February 7th at 2:15 a.m., a Placer County Sheriff’s deputy attempted to pull over a motorcycle at the intersection of Taylor Road and Penryn Road, in Penryn.
The motorcyclist refused to pull over and took off at a high rate of speed, eventually going over 106 miles per hour, leading the deputy on a pursuit onto eastbound Interstate 80.
The suspect exited the freeway at Newcastle Road and continued to evade the deputy by running multiple stoplights and driving in the opposite lane of traffic.
The suspect was eventually apprehended on Cimmeron Way in Lincoln, and identified as 34-year old Paul White, of Olivehurst. A search of White’s person revealed methamphetamine in his wallet.
White was arrested for reckless evading, evading an officer by driving in the opposite direction of traffic, and possession of methamphetamine.
We’d like to thank the California Highway Patrol and the Lincoln Police Department for assisting our deputies in the pursuit.”
