A man has been arrested in connection to an alleged attempted murder in Turlock back in September 2019.

Shortly after 1 AM on Sunday, September 8, police had responded to a report of a large fight in the area of North Broadway and West Main Street. There they found an unconscious woman lying in the roadway, having reportedly been struck by a vehicle.

Officers immediately had her transported to a local hospital, where she was treated for multiple serious injuries.

As police began to investigate, they determined that the incident had started out as a fight between two large groups of people. Witnesses reported that the driver of the vehicle that had struck the victim was involved in this altercation.

Turlock Police detectives assumed the investigation, conducting follow-up interviews and reviewing surveillance video. It wasn’t long before they were able to identify 20-year-old Larry Lee as the primary suspect. In December of 2019, detectives obtained an arrest warrant.

On January 27 of this year, officers located and arrested Lee during a traffic stop on the 2200 block of Annhurst Avenue. He is now in custody at the Stanislaus County Jail.
