“On December 26, 2020 at approximately 10pm, Sutter Creek Police Officers were dispatched to the area of Old Route 49 and Bryson Drive for a reported shooting.
Upon arrival, Officers located a male victim who reported while he was attempting to leave a residence, his girlfriend chased him outside with a handgun and fired several shots in his direction, striking his vehicle several times. Fortunately the victim was uninjured.
Officers learned the female suspect ran across the street into a field. Officers were able to communicate with the suspect and convince her to surrender peacefully. The Sutter Creek resident was placed under arrest and booked into the Amador County Jail without further incident.
A search warrant was obtained and served at the residence, which resulted in the suspected weapon being recovered.
All parties are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
SCPD was assisted by members of the Amador County Sheriff’s Department and the Jackson Police Department. We are blessed to have such great partners.”
