Man parked in Davis in truck stolen from Fairfield

“On 12/17/20 detectives from the Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving Unit (COPPS) came across a stolen 2017 GMC pickup truck parked in the area of Olive Drive. Further investigation confirmed the truck was taken from Fairfield Ca.

Detectives and patrol officers detained the occupants. The suspect was identified as Erich Kline (21-year old) out of Fairfield. Kline was in the company of a female. Further investigation revealed that female had an active restraining order against Kline.

Kline was subsequently arrested for vehicle theft, forgery/altering a vehicle registration, providing false information to a peace officer, domestic violence restraining order violation and receiving known stolen property. Kline was lodged at the Yolo County Jail
