An Auburn man previously convicted of a felony has been arrested after reportedly being caught with firearms.

On the morning of December 16th, officers pulled over 32-year-old Richard Ryan after learning he was in possession of a firearm, which is strictly prohibited due to his felony conviction.

Police say Ryan was taken into custody without incident, and the alleged firearm located and recovered. Police then served a search warrant at Ryan’s home, where they located and seized additional firearms as evidence.

Ryan was ultimately booked at the Placer County Jail.
