Suspected arrested in alleged November 2019 assault of 7-Eleven clerk

“On November 09, 2019, at approximately 2:00 AM, a 66-year-old clerk at 7-Eleven, 1180 Holly Street, San Carlos, was assaulted by Odell Uliseset Sala. The clerk sustained a laceration and was transported to the hospital for medical aid. Sala fled the scene and his whereabouts were unknown. The case was given to the San Mateo County Investigations Bureau and they were able to determine that Sala was the suspect and obtained a $125,000 felony arrest warrant for the above charges.

On November 1, 2020, South San Francisco Police Department Officer R. Roman, contacted Sala at the Walgreens, 399 El Camino Real, South San Francisco sitting in a vehicle (SSFPD case 20-5821). Sala was arrested on the outstanding San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office warrant and booked into the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office Maguire Correctional Facility.”
