Authorities in San Joaquin County have arrested Dylan Colby Moyle, who is suspected in the murder of 42-year-old Matthew Winks of Jamestown.

Police say Winks was struck and killed by a vehicle near the area of 5th Avenue and 7th Street in Jamestown on the night of October 3rd, and that this had been the second attempt on his life within the span of a week.

Surveillance footage gathered from the area and witness statements soon led to the identification of Moyle, 28, as the primary suspect. Authorities also soon located Moyle’s truck — a white Ford F150 — abandoned in the Twaine Harte area.

As of October 14, Moyle was arrested on suspicion of murder, driving on a suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia, and other charges.
