Young man attempts to attack deputy
The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office reports on a young man who, for some reason, decided to try and attack a deputy  on their official Facebook page-
“Yesterday morning, while conducting a follow up investigation in Downtown Sonora, 19-year-old James Davis of Lockeford attempted to get into the front driver seat of a Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle.
When prevented from doing so, James spit at and physically assaulted the deputy.
During the struggle, James also attempted to take the deputy’s baton from his duty belt. The deputy was eventually able to gain control of James and restrain him.
The deputy only sustained minor injuries as a result of the altercation.
James was arrested for resisting arrest with violence, battery against a Peace Officer, and taking a weapon (other than a firearm) from a Peace Officer.”
