The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office released the results after serving  five different search warrants recently –
“On September 16th, 2020, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Unit served a search warrant at an illegal marijuana cultivation site in the 9000 block of Avenue A in Mountain Ranch. Deputies seized 158 growing marijuana plants with an estimated value exceeding $110,000. No suspects were contacted at the site. Evidence was collected at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
On September 17th, 2020, a search warrant was served in the 19000 block of Old Greek Mine Road in Mountain Ranch. Deputies eradicated 76 growing marijuana plants with an estimated value exceeding $53,000. No suspects were contacted at the site. Evidence was collected at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
On September 22nd, 2020, a search warrant was served in the 100 block of Sawyer Road in Glencoe. Deputies seized 159 growing marijuana plants with an estimated value exceeding $111,000. The weight of the 159 marijuana plants was 2580 lbs. or 1.29 tons. Omar Serrano, age 23 of West Point, was issued a citation on charges of 11358 H&S Illegal Marijuana Cultivation, 11359 H&S Possession of Marijuana for Sale, and 182 PC Conspiracy to Commit Crime. Evidence was collected at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
On September 23rd, 2020, a search warrant was served in the 2400 block of Butte Mountain Road in Murphys. Deputies seized 311 growing marijuana plants with an estimated value exceeding $217,000. No suspects were contacted at the site. Evidence was collected at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
Also on September 23rd, 2020, an unrelated search warrant was served in the 10400 block of Sheep Ranch Road in Sheep Ranch. Deputies seized 155 growing marijuana plants with an estimated value exceeding $108,000.
Additionally, 1 firearm was seized. No suspects were contacted at the site. Evidence was collected at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
