Man Arrested for Allegedly Murdering Girlfriend in Huntington Beach

Huntington Beach police have arrested a man suspected of murdering his 25-year-old girlfriend.

Police deputies received a report of an assault currently taking place at about 1:15 PM on September 2, 2020.  Upon their arrival, they found the body of Laura Sardinha.  A man, 34-year-old Craig Charron, was also present at the scene and in need of medical attention.  He was subsequently transported to the hospital.

The Huntington Beach Police Department Crimes Against Persons Unit began investigating the incident and found that Sardinha and Charron had been in a dating relationship.

At about 10 AM on September 4th, police officials arrested Charron for the murder of Laura Sardinha.  He was booked in jail on a bail of $10,000,000.
