ORINDA — Three armed-robbery suspects with criminal records have been arrested again. One man arrested last week in Texas is pending extradition back to Contra Costa County. His two alleged accomplices were arrested in Alameda County in July.

The armed robbery occurred in the driveway of an Orinda residence on Fallen Leaf Terrace on July 25. The victim was unloading his vehicle, when he was robbed by three men who fled with his personal property.

Orinda detectives working with other San Francisco Bay area law enforcement agencies identified the three suspects. In addition to being suspects in other crimes in the Bay area, all three men have prior criminal convictions.

The last outstanding suspect Demaria L. Adger, 25 of Oakland, was arrested in Plano, Texas, on August 25. He is presently being held at Collins County Jail in McKinney, Texas.

The other two suspects, also from Oakland, John L. Downs, 25 and Shane Downs, 23, were each arrested on July 29. John Downs was arrested by Berkeley PD. Shane Downs was arrested by Piedmont PD. Both men were recently released from state prison, prior to the robbery in Orinda.

John Downs served time in prison for a weapons conviction. He has seven prior arrests for robberies, a carjacking and other crimes.
