The Merced Police Department announced the arrest of a man with a stolen gun and drugs in his possession in this story published on Facebook –
“On August 21 2020 at 11:55 P.M., Officer Zazueta observed a black Chevy Impala with tinted windows in the area of the 1800 blk of G st. He made an enforcement stop and made contact with the driver who was identified as Charles Wren (48). Wren had a felony warrant out of Sacramento and was taken into custody.
Officer Prevostini assisted in the search of the vehicle along with his K9 “Stas.” Stas located a loaded 9 mm handgun in between the front seats of the vehicle. The firearm was reported stolen out of Arkansas. Also located inside the car was a small amount of Heroin, and Cocaine.
Wren was booked into the Merced County Jail for felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, possession of a concealed firearm, possession of stolen property, transportation of narcotics, and his felony warrant.
