SCPD Proactive Patrol Gets Felon

The Santa Cruz Police Department issued a press release concerning the confiscation of meth, heroin, a handgun, rifle and ammunition –

“Officers took him, meth, heroin, and the loaded handgun in his waistband off Santa Cruz city streets.

Around 8:30 pm last night, Officers spotted a suspicious vehicle parked askew near the railroad tracks by Shaffer Road with expired registration as of 2016. A search of his truck also revealed several high capacity rifle magazines.

Matt McCusker, 46 years old from Capitola, a felon in possession of a firearm and narcotics, was arrested and booked into Santa Cruz County jail.
