The Mt. Shasta Police Department arrested a man during the night recently after he fired off some shots from his gun –

“At approximately 2:30 am on the morning of July 12th, 2020 the Mt Shasta Police Department received multiple 911 calls reporting shots being heard in the 100 block of Ski Village Drive.

Mt Shasta Police Officers along with California Highway Patrol responded to the area.

During the initial area check, officers witnessed additional gunfire and called for additional units to respond with lights and siren.

As a precaution, medical personnel were also staged in the area although no injuries were sustained in this incident.

After investigation and the recovery of a firearm, Daniel Douglas Gray was taken into custody and booked into Siskiyou County Jail on Negligent Discharge of a Firearm.

Mt. Shasta Police Department is grateful for the response of allied agencies including California Highway Patrol, Siskiyou County Sheriff, Weed Police Department, and CalFire and their assistance in the safe resolution of this event.”
