The Watsonville Police Department made an arrest eight hours after an attempted murder shooting –
“An attempted murder suspect has been taken into custody following a shooting that left a woman and teen girl in critical condition.
Our detectives were able to track down the shooting suspect, 35-year-old Raul Morales, in his hometown of Los Banos. Thanks to the Merced County Sheriff’s Office and Los Banos Police Department, Morales was arrested less than 8 hours after the shooting.
Our preliminary investigation indicates that a dispute between Morales and his girlfriend’s family on Cereze Street resulted in the Sunday night shooting.
The victims are being treated for their injuries at an out-of-county trauma center.
Morales was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail Monday afternoon.”
