SJPD Arrests 8 Suspects for Weapons, Narcotics and Other Crimes

The San Jose Police Department recently arrested eight gang suspects for various charges –

“San Jose – Since April 2020, the San Jose Police Department’s Gang Investigations Unit (GIU) conducted an extensive investigation of suspects associated with gangs for possessing firearms and other crimes.

On Wednesday, May 20, 2020, and Thursday, May 21, 2020, GIU detectives, with the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office, utilized the assistance of MERGE, Covert Response Unit, Street Crimes, Metro, Violent Crimes Enforcement Team, patrol, and Santa Clara County Adult Probation to serve a total of thirteen search warrants in San Jose and one in the City of Milpitas. The eight listed suspects were arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Jail on various charges including child endangerment, felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, possession of narcotics for sale, possession of illegal weapons, and probation violation.

The following items were seized as evidence:

6 firearms (1 stolen)
Brass knuckles
Ammunition
Narcotics (controlled substances, mushrooms, marijuana)
Approximately $26K cash associated to narcotic sales
