The Placer County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people who drove together to court –

“On May 13th, 28-year old Kelsey Heard of Rocklin, was attending court at the Placer County Superior Court House at Burton Creek in Tahoe City.

36-year old Sean Gray, also from Rocklin, drove Heard to Tahoe and was driving his unregistered vehicle. Deputy Miller observed the vehicle displaying false vehicle registration tags and stopped Gray’s vehicle for the violation.

It was determined Gray is on active parole and a search of his vehicle was conducted.

The search revealed stolen items and electronic devices taken from numerous businesses closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Personal documents and other information associated with identity theft were also discovered. The Tahoe Investigations Unit continues to identify the numerous victims of identity theft and fraud.

Gray was arrested for parole violation, being a felon in possession of ammunition, possession of stolen property, forged documents and burglary. Heard was arrested for violation of probation, possession of a controlled substance and drug-related paraphernalia.”
