The Clearlake Police Department conducted a parole search which results in two arrests –

“On April 17, 2020, officers conducted a parole search on Eldridge Persons, 36, Clearlake, in the 16400 block of 34th Ave.

During the parole search at the home, a rental car was found parked directly in front of the home. Both Persons and his wife Jasmine Colon, 33, Clearlake, who came home during the search, denied any knowledge of the rental vehicle.

Keys to this rental car were found in home and during a search of that vehicle, a stolen loaded firearm was found under the driver’s seat. The firearm was reported stolen out of Contra Costa County. It was discovered that Colon had actually rented the vehicle but evidence located suggests that Persons had also been using the vehicle.

Both Persons and Colon were transported and booked into the Lake County Jail on several felony violations. Colon was later released on citation due to the COVID-19 pandemic however, Persons is also being held on a parole hold and remained in custody at the time of this writing.”
