A man has been arrested on suspicion of prowling after allegedly peeking into vehicles with a flashlight last week in Auburn.

According to a press release, night shift patrol officers arrived on the 200 block of Brook Road on Tuesday, April 7, to investigate a report of a suspicious person. They quickly located a man matching the description and identified him as 28-year-old Dwayne Durant, who was ultimately taken into custody on suspicion of prowling.

Upon further investigation, however, officers developed cause to believe Durant had been in coordination with a second individual, for which a charge of conspiracy was added to his rap sheet.

He remains in custody at the Placer County Jail on $10,000 bond.
