SBSD issues press release on child pornography arrest

“Investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Crimes Against Children Detail (CAC) and Sheriff’s Hi-Tech Division, began an investigation into the downloading, possession and distribution of child pornography. Through investigation, it was determined the child pornography was distributed from a home in Chino Hills.

On Thursday, April 2, 2020, personnel from CAC, Hi-Tech Division, and the Chino Hills Sheriff’s Station, served a search warrant at a residence in the 17000 block of Dandelion Lane in Chino Hills. Investigators contacted Amaya at the residence. Investigation showed transferring of nearly 50 GB, 2600 files, of images and videos of child pornography. At the end of the interview, Amaya was arrested for possession of child pornography and distribution of child pornography.
Amaya was subsequently booked into Central Detention Center and bail was set at $25,000.
