Yolo County juvenile faces hit-and-run, firearm charges

A Yolo County juvenile has been arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run and firearm charges after an alleged drug deal gone wrong.

Police say that, on the night of Feburary 9, a 17-year-old went to a local park to buy drugs from two strangers, taking his father’s loaded 9mm handgun along with him.

At some point, the two strangers reportedly pointed a gun at the juvenile but were scared off by a passerby.

The juvenile is believed to have then chased them in his vehicle through the outskirts of Woodland, ultimately colliding with an unrelated vehicle and fleeing the scene.

He later returned to the scene and was arrested after the gun was found in his car.
